Festival Information
The Camp Barefoot 4 Music and Art Festival is scheduled to be held at Camp Hidden Meadows, in Bartow, WV on Thursday, August 19 – Saturday August 21, 2010.
The weekend long event features some of the top rated acts in independent music, which have previously included Lotus, Perpetual Groove, Toubab Krewe, Hackensaw Boys, The Bridge, Umelt, The Breakfast, and more. The event is family oriented, affordable and a portion of the proceeds go directly to the Humane Society of Pocahontas County. Stay tuned for this year’s acts.
The Event will Feature:- A Main Stage and 2 side stages, featuring a rotating cast of top, independent music acts from across the county and the eastern seaboard.
- Arts, Crafts and Food Vendors -- bringing the finest local handcrafted arts and crafts; as well as, a variety of delicious foods, all available to the public.
- The Kids Zone, featuring a safe, structured, and most of all fun area for kids of all ages to play and enjoy activities, as well as, the featured entertainment for attending families.

- There is NO GLASS allowed on the site, we will confiscate all the glass found in vehicle during entrance of the event.

- 1.What is the camping situation like?
- It will be tent camping for the general public this year. The only car camping will be in the VIP, family and RV camping sections.
- 2.Will there be an ATM on site?
- Yes
- 3.Will there be Alcohol on site for sale?
- No, but you can bring your own beer as long as your of legal age. Security will be in observance.
- 4. How old must you be to attend?
- 18 yrs old or older unless accompanied by an adult
- 5.What does a RV pass consist of?
- Only the driver of the RV needs the RV pass, which also includes all camping and event fees. Everyone else camping inside the RV only needs a general admission event ticket to attend.
- 6.Are there showers?
- No showers, but there is a flowing river and pond.
- 7.How can I get around the campground?
- A shuttle bus will be running on a set schedule.
- 8.Can I leave the campground and return?
- Yes, you can take the shuttle to the parking lot where your car is located and leave and return to the campground at anytime. Parking is not guaranteed upon return.
- 9.Can we have glass bottles?
- No
- 10.Is it a family atmosphere?
- Yes, we will have a Kidzone with art projects and many family projects.
- 11.Can I bring a dog?
- Yes. Animals must be leashed at all times and you are required to clean up after your pet!
- 12.Can I bring a bike?
- Yes, as long is it does not need gas or batteries.
- 13. Where is the closest general store?
- There is a general store about 10 miles away.
- 14.Will there be ice on site for sale?
- Yes on Friday and Saturday at scheduled times
- 15.Will there be first aid?
- Yes, a first aid station will be located on the campground.
- 16.When do the gates open/close?
- Gates open on Thursday August 19th at noon, and close Sunday August 22nd at 3pm. The gates will be open 24hrs
From Richmond, Charlottesville and other points southeast of camp:
Exit Interstate 81 at Staunton, Virginia onto Rt. 250 West Continue on Rt. 250 West towards Monterey, Virginia Continue on Rt. 250 through Monterey, Virginia, traveling another 22 miles to Route 28. Turn right onto Rt. 28 North and travel approximately one mile. You will see the camp sign on your left. Turn left into driveway. You will see the camp office a large two story farm house. Please park and check in with office.
From Baltimore, Washington D.C. other points northeast of camp:
Exit Interstate 81 near Strasburg, Virginia onto Rt. 55 West towards Wardensville, West Virginia. Continue on Rt. 55 West through the town of Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. Take Rt. 33 East to Rt 28 South. Take Rt 28 South. Travel on Rt. 28 South for 23 miles. You will see the camp sign on your right. Turn right into driveway. You will see the camp office a large two story farm house. Please park and check in with office. Note: If you come to the intersection of Rt. 28 and Rt. 250 you have gone one mile too far and need to turn around.
From Pittsburgh, Ohio and points West:
Exit Interstate 79 on Rt. 33 East towards Elkins, West Virginia. At Elkins, West Virginia take Rt. 250 South In Bartow, West Virginia turn left onto Rt. 28/Rt 250 Travel for 3 miles and turn left staying on Rt. 28 North. Travel for 1 mile and you will see the camp sign on your left. Turn left into driveway, park vehicle and follow signs to camp office.
