Deaf Scene

Deaf Scene is an experimental instrumental rock band comprised three musicians from the Baltimore metro area. For more than three years, Deaf Scene has cultivated music that is essentially genre-defying and refreshing, proving to be, "One of Maryland's best up-and-coming acts" -explodinginsound.com

Deaf Scene has worked diligently to create music and live performances that set them apart from the alt-rock normalcy that is found often in Baltimore. With influence stemming from bands such as A Perfect Circle, Radiohead, Dredg, Benevento-Russo Duo, Mogwai, Russian Circles, and Deftones, their music has been best described by fans and friends as conceptual, experimental rock with some psychedelic and ambient undertones.

The Bands first LP, “Looking Down at the Sky”, was recorded in a DIY fashion with Non-Such Productions in Bowie, MD. It features vocals by their former vocalist Dillon Sullivan. After parting ways with their singer in June of 2009, the band has seen greater success than ever and continues to prosper as an instrumental trio.

Bands Deaf Scene has shared the stage with... Dead Confederate, Colour Revolt, Drummer, Royal Bangs, The Black Hollies, The Albertans, Strangers Family Band, All The Saints, Stemm, Saint Diablo, and many more amazing local and touring artists.
