3 Fifths

What started as a side project for Tim Nodar, Matt Ellis, and Josh Dunevant,of the former Black River Circus, has quickly become a favorite amongst die hard music fans in the Baltimore/Washington music scene. An instant connection, both musically and personally was born, and through very mature song writing, 3fifths started playing local and regional venues. Developing a devoted fan base, 3fifths started to headline the best local venues in town and was recently dubbed the legendary 8X10's "New Favorite Band." After teaming up with Jerome Maffeo, studio genius and virtuoso drummer for Jimmie's Chicken Shack, 3fifths first studio release 'Did You' was released New Years Eve '07-'08 @ The 8x10. 2008 also brought the arrival of Anand Viswanathan as the new drummer for 3 Fifths. Anand's organic style has lifted the band in new directions and brought 3 Fifths into a tighter Rock sound without leaving behind the possibility of extended improvisational passages. 2009 brings the upcoming release of 3 Fifths second CD and believe it or not a return to the studio to start working on their 3rd.
